Water is abundant with 67 million litres in three key dams in addition to the feature lake.
The 245 metres above sea level views provides breathtaking outlooks with little parallel in this State.
THE VINEYARD
The vineyard comprises;
6.36 hectares Shiraz
3.76 hectares Chardonnay
3.5 hectares Viognier
2.15 hectares Cabernet
1.19 hectares Merlot
1.5 hectares Verdelho
Trellising is V.S.P and Smart Dyson.
Millbrook Winery has won Gold with the Viognier grapes from Hartley Estate.
From 21 State-wide entries Hartley Estate was the 2006 winner of the Wine Industry Association – ANZ Bank Competition.

2005 – 120 tonnes
2006 – 106 tonnes
2007 – 80 tonnes
2008 – 160 tonnes (estimated)
Wayne Snedden, the vineyard manager has a 9 year history with the property and has managed the vines from initial planting. Wayne is available to continue his association with the vineyard.
THE WATER
A 30 metre bore With a 1.5 single phase submersible motor and Grondfos pump provides 1,200 galloons per hour with a monitored high quality reading of 1,300 parts per million.
2 Southern Cross 15 Kilowatt, 3 phase pumps with a 2 Netafin 24 inch fully automated gravel main filter system are benefited by a 150 metre head pressure from the top dam.
48,000 metres of Vinadex compensating lines in the drip system fully automatic irrigation water provider. 50 – 100 mill pipes service the system. At a recommended water resource of 2 million litres/hectare the vines have a 100% reserve factor. (Irrigation cost $124,000)
BUILDINGS
2 Bedroom Fleetwood cottage set in feature landscaped grounds.
Machinery shed approx 300sqm and 3-phase power.
FENCING
2.7 metre (5 feet) fence surrounds the vineyard.
